Quality Engineer

We have an exciting, permanent opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join a great team in a Machine Shop Environment based in Syston, Leicester.

We are looking for someone with experience working with the automotive industry with experience of quality inspection and a strong background in problem solving.

The role will involve quality checking of customers products, quality planning, and continuous process improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a working experience of PPAP, MSAQ< SPC, FMEA and APQP

Days/Hours of Work

Monday to Thursday 07:00am - 16:00pm

Friday 07:00am - 12:00pm

Salary

£28,000 - £30,000 per Annum DOE

Duties & Responsibilities

• Quality checking of products
• Planning for continuous quality
• Use of various software to carry out the parts approval processes
• Reviewing, writing and editing procedures.

Skills & Experience:

• ISO9001:2015 experience,
• IATF16949:2016 experience,
• Auditing the above standards.
• Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • The use of ballooning software Solidworks would be advantageous, but training would be given.
  • Creating FAIR's would be advantageous but not necessary).
• Procedure Writing, Reviewing & Editing.
• Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) & (NPI).
• Continuous Process Improvement (8D/5-why).
• Millipore testing.
• MSA studies.
• Gauge R&R.
