As Yard Supervisor, you will be responsible for co-ordinating goods in and goods out, with

responsibility for the product from production to loading of vehicles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Line management of Yard Operatives
• Safety management and improvement
• Carry out safety checks, as required
• Define Yard storage areas, including area labelling and physical area demarcation - barriers etc.
• 'Bridge' between Production and Yard personnel.
• Work with Yard pickers / personnel to improve pick times and efficiency, including safety.
• Continuous improvement of Yard processes impacting quality and productivity.
• Ensure audits / FLT checks are completed on a daily basis
• Housekeeping. A place for everything and everything it its place. Contribute to the 5s programme - maintain the 5s standards and enforce high standards of compliance.
• Carry out Tool Box Talks
• Identify and escalate maintenance issues

Experience and Background Requirements

• Experienced in a Yard or Dispatch environment
• Management skills and capabilities
• Good computer skills and experience of basic business software
• FLT licence
• Experience of operating Warehouse Management Systems would be beneficial
• Flexibility
