Siamo Recruitment are currently recruiting a Materials Buyer for our prestigious client who are a leading local construction company who specialises in new build developments.

Hours: Part time 25hrs per week (FLEXIBLE)

Pay Rate: £15.38 per hour

TEMP TO PERM POSITION

The ideal candidate will have experience in Buying for Construction Companies with good building material knowledge and current rates.

Typical work activities include:

• Providing prices for all materials included within the project.
• Identifying potential new suppliers and new alternative products;
• Contacting a range of suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain quotations and agree delivery times;
• Keeping detailed records and maintaining a well-organised work schedule;
• Assessing the reliability of sub-contractors and suppliers;
• Dealing effectively with challenges with suppliers and the flow of materials;
• Providing support to the site managers and QS's
• Liaising closely with the estimator at the tendering stage to ensure that an accurate project cost is provided;
• Reviewing of Invoices and matching to orders to ensure accurate payment.

The Person:

• Previous Buyer experience
• Residential Construction Experience
• Competent on IT systems
